After 11 years as a successful marketing associate, Dan followed God’s calling and entered into full-time ministry as the founder and director of Dan Moran Ministries, Inc. Since 1985, Dan’s focus has progressed into three unique avenues of ministry: Strategic Missions, Transitional Pastor, and Chaplain Services. Through these diverse avenues of ministry, Dan seeks to fulfill his passion of leading the next generation to meet Christ.
Dan has been the featured speaker for conventions, conferences, and church-renewal events across America and around the globe. His messages—with humor woven throughout—are centered on strong, relevant biblical teaching. "If I can get them to laugh, they will usually listen to the Truth," says Dan. "The humor in the message changes no one; only Biblical Truth will change lives." Since 1983, Dan has presented his “Choices” message to over 900,000 students and adults in middle- and high-school assemblies, corporate events, and numerous church-related events.
Dan has served as Associate Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of North Alabama and is a former President of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists of Alabama.
In 2005, he began to transition from being an itinerant speaker to focus on his new passion as a Transitional Pastor. Certified by the Center for Congregational Health as an Intentional Interim and Certified as a Transitional Pastor from the Southern Baptist Convention, Dan has served as a Transitional Pastor at twelve churches in Alabama and Georgia. "I truly believe working with churches during transition could be our greatest area of work thus far, and prayerfully will be a large part of the legacy of our calling."
Our Strategic Missions, Transitional Pastoral ministry or Chaplain Services, Dan is passionate about leading people of this generation to meet Christ where they are.
Dan and Debbie have been married for over 43 years, and they have one son, Seth. In October of 2016 a new daughter-in-love, Taylor joined our family and they have blessed us with to beautiful granddaughters, Millie ’20 and Margo ’22.
